Someone replied in a low voice, "Let me know if there's anything you need help with. Do keep in mind that you have a family."

The person on the phone hung up after that, and Telford knew he was doomed.

"W-What the hell do you mean?" Telford sputtered, still refusing to give in.

Mariah snorted. She knew that someone powerful had reported Telford this time and he was doomed. It was definitely satisfying to see him get what he deserved.

"What do I mean? You've been abusing your power in the station, lording it over everyone. I'll be honest with you now. I was the one who reported you!"

"You…" Telford nearly fainted from anger. He had never expected Mariah to report him, the same Mariah who would do anything to please him.

Everyone else in the station could hardly believe it either. They all knew that Mariah and Telford had been having an affair for ages. How could she have been behind this?
