Everett was bloodied all over, his face swollen, and his head leaned over to one side as he limped over.

Two of Keith's men threw Everett to the ground, where he lay unmoving in a crumpled heap. Hannah was honestly unsure then if her father was still alive.

"Why did you do this to him? You animals!" Hannah shouted, running towards her father.

Harrod held her back, his voice sharp. "Calm down."

Hannah looked nothing but enraged, but she did her best to reorganize her thoughts. It was not the time to be emotional.

"Is my father still alive?" Hannah asked loudly.

Keith shrugged. "Of course he is. He's just in this state because he wouldn't work with us."

Hannah took several deep breaths. "I'll send you the money now. Bring my father over right after."

Keith laughed. "Sure, but there's one more condition now."

Hannah shouted at once, "You should keep a promise you've made, Keith."

"Hey, am I not? I promised to let your father go. There's just another condition," Keith said as he smirked smugly.

Hannah glowered at him. "You're shameless."

"Listen up, missy. You keep talking to me like that, and I won't be able to guarantee you'll get your father back alive." Keith's expression darkened at once.

Hannah closed her eyes. She took a few deep breaths before looking at Keith coldly. "Fine. What do you want?"

Keith paced back and forth, looking Hannah up and down.

"I need you to be with me for a month," he said eventually.

Hannah's expression shifted at once. "That's too much, Keith! No way."

Just then, Keith lifted Everett into the air, grabbing his pistol and shoving the barrel against Everett's temple. "Really now?"

"You…" Hannah nearly exploded with rage. She had not expected such a shameless demand, and there was no way she was going to say yes.

Harrod said, "You're a leader too, Mister Sackler. That's not very morally sound of you, is it? We've prepared the ransom of a hundred million dollars. You could have all the women in the world with that money."
