Edwin hesitated for a moment before picking up the phone and answering the call.

Josef's indifferent voice sounded from the other end, "Edwin, I heard Lana and Nash are getting close."

Edwin chuckled. "Is that so? I haven't heard about it."

"Edwin, there's something I must tell you. Nash is the son of the Warden of the Northern Territory.”

Edwin's expression changed slightly, but he felt a surge of excitement inside. If Lana could use Nash to get to the Warden, then the Jackson family would gain an ace.

Suppressing his excitement, Edwin cleared his throat before saying, "I suppose you didn’t call me just to tell me about this?”

Josef chuckled. "Philix Xing's real name is Wolfgang Young.”

Edwin felt as if he had been struck by lightning. He abruptly shot up from the couch, shocked and incredulous. "H-How is that possible?!"

The Young family had been burned to ashes. It was almost certain that no one survived!

"You're worried that with Lana and Nash getting too close, the Jackson family will surpass yours with the Warden's help.

“If this is the case, you can rest assured that Nash is already married and Lana will not get too close to him!” Edwin's throat was dry as he replied.

Josef responded, “Whether I believe it or not, advise Lana to stay away from Nash if you don't want any harm to come to her."

The call ended.

Edwin sat back on the couch, his face pale. Josef's words were still echoing in his mind.

“Dad, what's wrong?" Lucas rarely saw his father in such a state and was puzzled.

Edwin shook his head and sent a message to Lana.

Just then, Lana received a message from her grandfather. Her delicate body trembled after she read it.

Sienna noticed something was amiss and asked softly, "Lana, what's wrong?"

Lana deleted the message and shook her head. "It's nothing."

Sienna responded casually and continued to savor the red wine in her tall glass.

Heart in turmoil, Lana glanced at Nash, who was sitting on the other side. He was chatting and drinking with Theo. Tears welled up in her lively eyes.

Nash noticed Lana's gaze and calmly glanced over. His gaze lasted for only a second before he went back to clinking glasses with Theo.

Lana sensed the indifference in Nash's gaze and felt a sharp stab of pain through her heart. Did he already know? If he did, why did he save her in the elevator?
