He did not know why they called him a child of the devil, though.
Malvol's coughing interrupted his thoughts.
"Hmph, don't drag me down," Arlo sneered.
"You idiot, do you think everyone has the Curse of Immortality like you?"
"You seem like you could use it," Arlo taunted.
Malvol said nothing and continued flying forward.

The Curse of Immortality—the same one that resided within Sterling and Xenith—was also within Arlo. This power did not originate from any person but from a god of a distant land.
Xenith, also known as Renith, was once nothing more than a pet of this god. When he slipped out of the divine realm, he immediately became a demon king who commanded his territory. As punishment, the god cast him into hell, where he encountered Ruin and Zirconia.
After the three of them explained their situations, they realized they shared the same pain and made a deal in that hellish place. Each of them got what they wanted—Zirconia obtained the seven seeds and three souls cursed with immortality while the Undying God gained intelligence on Renith, which was a chance for him to redeem himself.
The rest of the story was as known—the Judges joined forces to kill Renith, but the order to do so did not come from the three elders at that time. Instead, it came from the reincarnation of that god.
