After Frank led Larkin and Lofty off the hill, Lofty bowed his head at Frank. "Thank you so much for helping me over the past couple of days. I must see to other matters now, so I won't impose."

Seeing that he was ready to leave, Frank asked, "Why not consider joining Mystic Sky Guild?"

Lofty laughed. "I've thought about it but decided that I'm better off alone. Moreover, I can ask for your help anytime I need it, so I don't have to worry about much or cause you unnecessary trouble."

With that, he and Larkin excused themselves, while Frank swiftly returned to the homestay cottage, where Jada Turin was on the couch, watching TV.

Frank sat beside her and opened the letter to see a card, with only a time and address written on it.

He groaned. "There's always something new every day. I can't even enjoy my trip."

Frank chuckled and went to bed since it was still early.

He slept all the way to noon, washed up, and headed to the address.

As soon as he arrived, he sensed a strange energy signature and footsteps from a nearby alley.

While he saw a pretty girl soon enough, he realized she was not breathing and had no heartbeat!

That meant she was basically dead!

The android leapt forward right then, breaking the sound barrier with sheer speed.

Frank was not surprised—he had seen people who can go just as fast, let alone an android.

Moreover, friction was not a problem since it was made of steel, and with such powerful energy for locomotion, it was all only to be expected.

Frank matched its speed nonetheless, not bothered to use techniques and even holding back as he engaged the android in hand-to-hand combat.

As the android continued to fight Frank, its torso suddenly split open, firing a barrage of silver needles straight at Frank.

However, no matter how solid those needles were, they bounced off harmlessly, unable to pierce his defenses.
