Jouri laughed and stared at Yancy pointedly as she said, "You get it. Shame others don't."

Yancy smirked. "Don't give me that look. There are only the three of us—even an idiot knows that you're talking about me.

"To be honest, I thought I was right at first too, only to agree with your stance once I met him. I really wouldn't have been able to help him improve to his current level if I were in your shoes."

Jouri shook her head. "Guess I can't lie when you're being so honest. To be honest, it's not all thanks to me, nor does it have much to do with my theories. It's all him."

Yancy nodded in agreement—such a lab rat like Frank was just too difficult to find.

The man nodded at Frank before handing him something that appeared to be a plain remote control.

"Your present, courtesy of the government. You're going to have to retrieve it yourself, though."

Jouri shrugged. "Who knows?"

With that, she returned to her car and left.

Frank chuckled in turn. "Now I get why you're parting ways with her. It's difficult to work with her for long—it'd overwhelm the average person."

Yancy shook her head. "Hang around long enough, and you'll understand that I'm quite difficult. Come on—let's check what the scamp left us with."

Frank nodded and headed into the lab with Yancy.

Even if Jouri cheekily did not tell Yancy where she had put it, Yancy was still way smarter than the average person.
