The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage romance Capítulo 2864

Frank shook his head. "It's none of your business!"

At those words, Cicero gave up on asking.

Truth be told, he used to imagine gaining such power, like children would after watching superhero movies.

While they were all unrealistic fantasies, seeing such fantasies given form was basically the best punishment Cicero hoped to have.

It was still incredibly impressive to see that the power he coveted being wielded in another's hands, to his whims.

Soon, the trio arrived at a rundown apartment in Cronde.

Cicero pointed at one of the units. "My wife said that she'll be waiting for me there tomorrow night. I'm not lying, I swear!"

Frank nodded. "There's no one in there, though!"

Cicero nodded. "We have to be careful. We don't know if Adonis' cabal would come looking for us here."

Frank sighed. "You should know what would happen to you!"

Cicero was at once scared shitless. "Please give me a chance, brother! I don't want to die… at least not yet! Could you just spare me, at least until I talk to my wife?"

Frank thought about it. "I guess I could, but I'm hoping you'd cooperate and not give me trouble!"

Cicero nodded repeatedly. "I'm already awash with gratitude that you spared my life. Why would I dare to screw with you now?"

Frank ignored him, however, and turned toward an empty apartment unit with a large placard that said 'for rent'!

With that in mind, the landlord said, "It's quite expensive—it's a grand per month, so that's twelve grand for a year!"

Naturally, he inflated the price in hopes that Frank would bargain, so that he would at least earn a little more.

"Deal!"

To the landlord's surprise, Frank agreed to it right away.

Was that what it meant to be rich? It was as if twelve grand meant nothing to Frank!

Still, he whipped out his QR code. "Very well. Scan this to pay!"
