Cicero was taken aback but soon dropped on his knees with a thud, his world falling apart once more.
He had to admit that Frank was right—he was just too naive to believe that his wife loved him, or that there were gods in this world.
In hindsight, his existence was way too pathetic.
And worse of all, he could not have another life, or he would do it right!
"You're strong. I hope you'll stay like this—don't visit me in hell so soon!"
With those words, Cicero did not hesitate to open the window and jumped off.
Yancy came running out of her room when she heard the commotion, though she could tell what had happened just from Frank standing there beside the open window.
She shrugged. "In hindsight, he may have chosen this path, but he could have changed if he had understood earlier."
Frank nodded. "Shame he had to build his growth on someone's death. That's why I don't think he deserves any sympathy!"
Yancy grinned. "That makes us way better than them, doesn't it?"
Frank smiled and nodded.

The next morning, Frank had just woken up when he heard footsteps outside, though they were very light.
Knowing right then that Cicero's wife had arrived, he did not hesitate to turn invisible and leave the apartment unit, quietly following her.
She was tall and slender, and she was carefully studying her surroundings even as she moved.
Eventually, she reached an apartment unit and kicked the door open.
Looking around and seeing no signs of life, she sighed in relief.
And that telepathic voice… He was far stronger than she imagined!
"Hello!"
Frank suddenly appeared before Beauty, hovering in the air instead of landing, looking just like a god.
He even changed his appearance to resemble Cicero just to spice up the drama!
Beauty was naturally shocked—she did not think that Cicero was actually deceiving her, hiding such power all this while!
In fact, her instincts screamed that he knew certain matters, with what he had just said being the best proof.
"Where's Adonis and the others?" she asked tentatively nonetheless.
Frank laughed coolly. "Where else would they be? I've wiped them out!"
