Then, Yancy finished, "I don't mind giving it to you straight—not even the gods get to strut when he's here!"
The landlord ignored her since she was just being ridiculous.
It was simple, really—was there anyone who was really bigger than the gods?
Sure, the kid was rich and could throw a mean punch, but that was all there was to it.
Either way, the landlord was dead sure that Frank was far beneath him.
Soon, a dozen men strode in with baseball bats, helping the landlord to his feet and asking, "What happened here, boss?"
"Are you blind? Can't you tell?"
The landlord snapped coolly, "That brat actually hit me! Just do what you will, but I'm giving off that bitch to whoever does the best!"
Everyone turned to see that the landlord was pointing at Yancy, drawn to her cool glare right then.
They rarely ever met such beauties, and they would die happy in this life if they could just have a taste!
Their animal instincts flaring, they did not hesitate to charge wildly at Frank.
The landlord stood akimbo at a corner, looking like a king just then. "You brat! Now show me how you're going to beat ten men with your two fists!"
"Hahaha! Then watch closely!"
Frank smirked as a horrific force seemed to erupt away from him, and in a split second, the dozenish thugs were sent flying across every direction.
It was such a terrible sight that the landlord's knees buckled, and he dropped to his knees right then!
Impossible! Even if Frank was some martial elite and could throw a punch, how could he send the landlord's men flying without moving at all?!
The landlord rubbed his eyes repeatedly but ultimately had no choice but to believe that this was reality—that he was not dreaming!
Frank snorted. "I'll be frank—if you hadn't threatened my friend here just now, I might have considered sparing your life… shame that you showed me your true colors."
The landlord could only shake his head repeatedly. "No, no no! I'm not who you think I am… I'm completely insignificant! I couldn't have hurt you even if I wanted, believe me!"
Frank smiled coolly, shaking his head. "Don't say that. Even insignificant people like you would end up taking lives! He's all yours, Ms. Junek—do what you will."
Yancy smiled and nodded.
Seeing the murderous glint in her eyes, the landlord realized that his good life was at an end.
"Stay away from me!" he shrieked, threatening her feebly. "If you push me too far, I swear I will… I will…"
"Oh, come on. Where did your pompous attitude go?"
Yancy laughed. "Honestly, I'll never get it—people like you really lack imagination, huh? If you knew this would happen, you could've just played nice, and everything would be fine that way, no?"
