The woman looked at the blond man. "Remember not to taint or take advantage of her. She was once one of us, after all."

"Got it, Big Sis." The blond man let out a string of strange laughter.

It was morning.

Wilbur sat in the living room fiddling with a token in his hands, trying to sense the mysterious energy in it.

Just then, Faye came downstairs. "Good morning, Boss."

"You don't have to call me that, you know," Wilbur said, shaking his head.

Faye replied, "Well, some boundaries are still necessary when it comes to work. By the way, your car's fixed."

She handed a set of keys to Wilbur.

Wilbur's car had been damaged during the confrontation with Jose and Duran, and he had been relying on e-hailing services for the past few days.

Wilbur nodded. "Thank you."

"See you, Boss. Master Jose's right outside. Remember to eat." Faye left the house after that, her heels clacking on the floor.

Wilbur sighed as Faye left.

Faye was definitely a qualified partner to have, with both looks and brains.

She had a great personality too and was definitely a woman of charm.

Wilbur knew that all he had to do was reciprocate her advances in the slightest and the two of them would be together.

However, she was technically working for him, and dating her might be a little inappropriate.

The thought of his old teammates overseas finding out that he was sleeping with one of his staff made his head hurt. They would laugh at him for sure.

Just then, two men and a woman stumbled into the cafe reeking of alcohol. It was clear that they had been drinking all night and were now having breakfast.

The three of them looked around, then sat down at Wilbur's table before ordering a great deal of food.

They ate to their hearts' content, then got up to leave right after.

Wilbur saw that and asked, "Uhm, have you forgotten to pay?"

He saw that these people seemed a little drunk and was just reminding them out of politeness.

However, that resulted in one of them turning around to glare at Wilbur ferociously. "Who the f*ck do you think you are? Do I look like the kind of person who needs to pay for my food?"

The other man and woman looked at Wilbur as well, amused.

Wilbur's expression darkened at once. "Paying for the food you eat is the law. Are you above the law or something?"
