"He's the real deal!"
The big man held a huge thumbs-up, earnestly impressed.
He had never met people like Frank before but had always held conviction that he would definitely gain transcendence if he continued on this path.
But now, he truly realized how hilarious his past self was.
Just as Frank had said, he was just a martial artist, if a little stronger than the rest, and it was nothing to get conceited over.
"Well, it's a long story, so I'll just give you the key points."
Frank showed his ring. "It's pointless to tell you about my past experiences, so I'll start with this ring! I was attacked by a mysterious faction who were strangely not martial artists. As I tracked them down, I found this ring, which calls itself the spiritron vein!
"After some trials and tribulations, I've fully integrated its power for my own purpose, becoming the way I am now with the help of a scientist and a reverend."
"Is that it?"
The lady and the black-clad man frowned.
That should not be the case—should Frank not have met some sort of divine figure? This felt like the shaky premise of a superhero movie instead!
Frank naturally read their minds and chuckled. "It doesn't matter what others think—there aren't any gods. Even if there are, they're hardly beyond human comprehension. They simply appeared transcendent because scientific development was limited before."
The black-clad man sighed.
Whatever the case might be, he had no way to prove what Frank said. Still, Frank did not look like he was lying, and that was enough for him.
"In exchange, I'll tell you where they are!" he said bluntly just then.
After he told Frank everything he knew, Frank nodded, gesturing for him to go ahead.
Frank understood why she appeared that way, but there was no helping it—he did not have time to consider her ego.
"Good. I have a company—you can work there," he suggested.
However, the lady shook her head. "I'm not asking for favors—I'm asking for you to help the citizens.
"Word has it that there's a demon running rampant in town lately, though I wonder if it's just a man. After all, they said it was an incubus with a devastatingly handsome face that no one could look away from."
Frank frowned, hoping just then it was not who he thought it was…
Nonetheless, the lady continued, "His name is Lugh Frankton. I think he's the chief of Mystic Sky Guild? I've come to vanquish him because he was running rampant. I'm sure you're strong enough to do that for me instead, don't you agree?"
Frank was unsure if he should laugh or cry.
He had actually guessed right—she really was talking about him!
