Dust swirled.
By the time the hag pushed herself up despite the pain, Frank was already on top of her.
To her shock, the gaping hole in Frank's chest was rapidly closing itself, fully healing in no time at all.
Even his shirt repaired itself, as if nothing had ever happened!
"Impossible!"
The hag had seen others carrying some levels of regenerative ability, but that was for spots such as the face or dismembered limbs, not vital organs.
Those, once destroyed, were like turning an off switch for the body, inflicting irreversible damage.
Death was certain, and one definitely could not heal from it!
On the other hand, disgust showed on Frank's face as he saw her disbelief. "Did you think your punch would break my defenses?"
He earnestly hoped that she would pierce her defenses to then demonstrate the extent of his regenerative abilities.
However, she was just too weak that she could not do it no matter how many punches she threw, and he finally decided to help her instead.
"What?!"
The hag blanched.
If what Frank said was true, how was she different from an insect compared to Frank?!
Unable to take it, the hag started charging at Frank again but soon paused, silent.
"What happened to your chest? There's no damage at all!" Lofty exclaimed in disbelief even as he touched the back of Frank's clothes.
The captive girl nodded. "Yeah… Not only did you regenerate, but your clothes are unscathed too. What's the deal with that?"
The hag laughed icily as she listened. "What else could it be? The brat possesses a miraculous power neither of you could start to imagine. That's why it wouldn't make sense to you."
The captive girl turned and saw that there were tears rolling down the hag's cheeks. "Go on, do it!"
The captive girl glanced at Frank, who nodded.
Shrieking, she started repeatedly punching the hag, who never made a sound despite the pain. Her heartbreak was too much to bear that it dulled the physical pain.
By the time her consciousness turned murky and she knew death was at hand, she spoke feebly, saying, "There's more than one powerhouse in this world—as strong as I am, or perhaps stronger. I may not have met them, but I have heard of them."
