Yancy has always been bright.
With the help of all the advanced equipment, she created a monster soon enough.
Interestingly, it could be controlled with the remote that Jouri had given her earlier.
Still, the thought of being a step behind Jouri frustrated Yancy. "If I'm right, that scamp knew there was something strange about this place… She one-upped me again! Curses!"
Frank chuckled. "Don't say that. You have the marbles that can be used for energies, no? You'd definitely be able to replicate it, and you'd beat her with numbers."
Yancy could not agree. "Nope. It just goes to show she didn't even care… but now that I think about it, she must have something better."
Frustrated, she stamped her feet, which looked adorable as she looked less mature.
"Alright, don't fuss over the details." Frank chuckled. "Let's go eat."
"Yeah." Yancy sighed and had her lab float up in the air while they headed to Cronde.
She also put on a pair of rocket boots and leapt off. "You don't have to pick me up. I can fly on my own!"
Frank smiled and was about to follow when he sensed a strange presence.
He could see several gigantic eagles flying north, and a white-clad priest was riding one!
Finding that more interesting, Frank promptly followed, catching soon enough and quietly riding one of the other eagles.
As the white-clad priest was looking down on the ground, it took thirty seconds for him to inadvertently glance Frank's way and flinch in surprise.
With that, he flew away and soon found Yancy.
For some reason, her rocket boots had developed a malfunction and she was caught in free fall.
Catching her right then, Frank chuckled. "There are times when you just have to wonder—is science failing, or is the person?"
Yancy snorted in annoyance. "That's just me. I'm dumb enough to use crap that isn't mine… and my brain malfunctioned too because I forgot maintenance."
Worried that Frank would find a flaw in her words, she quickly changed the subject. "Also, where have you been? I was so scared—I really thought I'd die right then!"
Frank then told her about the white-clad priest, and she frowned. "Is he that amazing? I mean, his senses are better than yours—he noticed I was in trouble before you did."
Frank was not sure if she should laugh or cry. "Not mentioning something doesn't mean that I didn't notice it. And I could've saved you even without leaving him."
