Frank was unsure if she should laugh or cry. "Not mentioning something doesn't mean that I didn't notice it. And I could've saved you even without leaving the white-clad priest."
If anyone else said that, Yancy would be convinced that they were lying.
But since it was Frank, the strongest lifeform she had ever encountered yet, saying that was almost humble of him!
Still, her protective glasses flashed as she checked the yellow talisman, scanning it. "There's nothing special about it! Both the scanner in my glasses and my eyes say so."
"Now, back to my question." Frank chuckled. "Is science failing, or is the person?"
Yancy's face fell—curse this man and all his teasing!
Soon, they landed.
There just happened to be a cleaner sweeping the curb, and his knees buckled and fell when he saw Frank and Yancy descending from the skies.
Frank quickly put Yancy on her feet while rushing up to him, chuckling. "It's alright. We're not evil—don't worry."
It took a while of assurance for them to realize that Frank was only human, albeit possessing special abilities.
"You'd be an amazing pizza boy, kid!"
Frank chuckled. "I'll definitely try for the job when I need the money!"
The cleaner nodded and fled, as if afraid Frank would kill him the next moment.
Yancy was left rolling her eyes. "You obviously sensed him. Why did you have to land right in front of him?"
Frank gestured at the trash can nearby with his chin, chuckling coolly. "Check that out, and you'd understand!"
Frank sent his clothes toward each direction, quickly recovering the pieces of the remains.
It really was a woman, and a pretty one at that.
Having watched her fair share of TV and movies, Yancy theorized from experience, "It's most definitely a crime of passion!"
Frank shook his head. "I think it's more complicated than that."
As he spoke, he took out his phone and snapped a photo of her neck.
Yancy frowned. "What are you doing? Why are you taking a photo of her neck and not her face? There's nothing special about it!"
Frank snapped his fingers at the screen, and a fingerprint appeared!
