Winona Wynn and Zachary Shaw novel CHAPTER 122 by Jade Emerson read online

The chaos unfolded in seconds; by the time anyone else processed what had happened, the situation had completely spiraled out of control.

Winona kept her eyes locked on Zachary, trying to pierce through his flawless exterior to see the utter monster underneath, the kind of psychopath who would use their dead child to score a point.

She stared at him for one long, agonizing moment, closed her eyes tightly, and finally turned to walk away.

This time, Zachary didn't say a word.

The dual slaps seemed to have shocked both sides into a temporary, uneasy ceasefire.

It was tragically hilarious—they had all tried so hard to maintain a facade of civility, only for it to end in physical violence.

Winona disappeared quickly down the path, leaving the others frantically scrambling to do damage control with Zachary.

Sienna reached out to gently touch his cheek, tears of distress streaming down her face as she eyed the stark red handprint.

Quincy was still ranting. "She deliberately pulled this stunt in front of the grave to disrespect the dead! I bet she knew about the mudslide before she even brought Evelyn out there! We need to cleanse the estate. That wild dog stole Sienna's rightful place, and she's been a curse on our family ever since!"

Catching himself and realizing Zachary was still sitting there, he quickly straightened his posture. "Zachary, I promise you, we will make her answer for that disrespect."

Zachary remained perfectly composed, a faint, chilling smirk touching his lips as a fresh drop of blood slid down his chin.

He didn't look angry in the slightest; he simply gave a brief, respectful nod to his grandmother's headstone.

Then, he maneuvered his wheelchair and silently rolled back toward the pathway.

Sienna hurried after him, her voice sickeningly sweet. "Let me ice your cheek when we get back, okay?"

The encounter had been an absolute disaster.

The rest of the Wynn family lingered in front of the headstone, offering hollow apologies before finally departing.
