She paused, a bitter smile tugging at her lips. "My recognition ceremony was delayed over and over again, all to give her time to let go of her resentment. But she remained stubborn and completely cut ties with the Wynn family. None of us even know what she's been doing out there these past few years."

She sighed, adopting a friendly, casual tone. "But Mr. Chandler, why are you suddenly asking about this?"

Despite the innocent look on her face, Sienna was fully aware of Silas's ambitious nature. He was definitely trying to feel out Winona's relationship with Zachary Shaw. If he ever found out those two were married, Silas would probably fast-track Winona to the Deputy Director position. Everyone in the department already knew Winona had backing, so no matter how high she climbed, they wouldn't dare voice their complaints.

Not to mention Wesley Vance and Grace Montgomery—one was now in prison, and the other had resigned. It proved that Winona was an incredibly difficult target to take down.

Right now, nobody in the interview department liked Winona, but they certainly wouldn't dare provoke her either—unless there was a perfect opportunity to ruin her completely.

Winona's past counterattacks had served as a brutal warning to the rest of them.

Sienna refused to let that bitch advance any further. Besides, she knew Winona had orchestrated that interview with Zachary on purpose.

Did she really think Sienna couldn't see through her cheap tricks?

A flash of mockery crossed her eyes, but when she looked up at Silas, her expression softened again. "Mr. Chandler, you can bring Winona along to my gala. Perhaps then you'll understand a few things. Plus, Zachary will be there."

Sienna was indirectly telling him that if he wanted to know the truth about Winona and Zachary's relationship, tonight was his chance.

Silas nodded and slowly stood up. "I heard you got injured recently. You can head home early today."

Sienna raised a hand to touch her head. The stitches from her recent injury were mostly healed. "I should head back to get ready. There's going to be a huge crowd at the Wynn estate tonight."

She gave a gentle nod and turned to leave.
