Winona Wynn and Zachary Shaw novel CHAPTER 141 by Jade Emerson read online

"Run! Don't catch a murder charge over this!"

Moments later, someone helped Vanessa sit up.

Her mind had been a total mess, and her vision was still hopelessly blurred. But she had grabbed onto her savior's arm. "You saved my life. Even if it means making an enemy out of the entire world, I will stand by your side."

It was an intensely dramatic thing to say, fitting for an edgy teenager.

After forcing out those words, she completely passed out.

When she woke up, Sienna had been keeping vigil by her hospital bed. Sienna had been wearing a blue jacket and was weeping out of sheer heartache for her.

Vanessa had naturally asked if Sienna was the one who saved her.

Sienna had nodded, breaking down in tears again.

So, her fanatical devotion to Sienna was simply her fulfilling her life-debt.

But how the hell did Winona know exactly what she said?

It hit her like a lightning bolt. Sienna must have told Winona!

This woman was truly shameless beyond belief, actually trying to use the words Sienna told her to pull a fast one!

Vanessa took a deep breath, feeling like the very air around Winona was contaminated. Sharing the same breathing space with someone like this was downright humiliating.

She spun on her heels and spat out, "You have absolutely no bottom line when it comes to stealing what belongs to Sienna! Winona, people like you utterly disgust me."

Just as she finished speaking, Sienna began her slow, graceful descent down the grand spiral staircase.

Tonight, she was also wearing a light blue gown. The hem featured a stunning gradient and was heavily encrusted with crushed diamonds, shimmering brilliantly under the crystal chandeliers.

The massive hall plunged into a stunned silence as every single gaze locked onto her.

A soft, immaculate smile graced Sienna's face. Crowned with a diamond tiara, she looked like flawless royalty.

Standing at the base of the stairs, Quincy Wynn's eyes practically glowed with pride, while the business partners around him offered perfectly timed praise.

"Mr. Wynn, your daughter is absolutely breathtaking. Anyone can tell she's yours."

"Ever since you brought your daughter home, Mr. Wynn, your business has been booming. She truly is your lucky star."

Years ago, Arthur Shaw had also called Sienna his lucky star.

Looking at it now, Sienna truly was the golden ticket for both powerhouses.

Quincy politely raised his glass as he mingled, but the moment his peripheral vision caught Winona in the distance, his expression instantly hardened into ice.

A few steps away, Cynthia was deep in conversation with Claire Wynn.

Claire, however, had been terribly ill for the past few days. Not even the most flawless makeup could mask her haggard exhaustion.

Cynthia patted her arm to comfort her. "Blood is thicker than water. Stop confusing yourself. I heard you've literally worried yourself sick over Winona."

Claire managed a stiff smile, desperate to avoid discussing the topic in such a public setting.

Cynthia gazed fondly at the gorgeously dressed Sienna. "Sienna is just wonderful. You have no idea—a few days ago, I stumbled upon a notebook. When I opened it, I realized it was Sienna's personal diary. It was filled with lists of what Arthur and I love to eat and what we hate. It had Grandmother Shaw's preferences, and of course, pages upon pages about Zachary's likes and dislikes. The sweet girl filled up an entire thick notebook. She truly cares."

Filling up an entire notebook proved just how carefully she observed everyone's preferences, constantly keeping them all in her thoughts.

Claire hadn't expected Sienna to be doing so much quietly behind the scenes. It was no wonder someone as incredibly picky as Cynthia adored her so much.

She let out a heavy sigh, her eyes instinctively searching the room for Winona.
