"Elle doesn't like fatty food, Darius. Have you forgotten?" Dante stopped smiling and sounded annoyed.

Darius ignored him and just looked at Joelle as if he was trying to say something.

Dante turned and saw the bacon was gone. Joelle was smiling while chewing.

"You ate it?" Dante asked, surprised.

"It's acceptable," Joelle nodded and continued chewing.

However, her stomach soon felt upset. Since there were so many people around, she didn't want to spit the food out, so she swallowed everything. She quickly left the table as soon as dinner was over.

She drank a few glasses of water, but it didn't help get rid of the bad taste. She then said she wanted to get some air, but really, she just wanted to get the taste out of her mouth.

Dante wanted to follow her, but Kendric suddenly dragged him away, saying he had something to discuss.

She ended up leaving alone.

Dante glared at Kendric. "Why are you stopping me? It's not safe for her to go out alone."

Kendric smirked, looked toward the person who walked out with Joelle, then back at Dante. "Don't worry, she'll be fine."
