Her desire to leave seemed to upset Reese. "You haven't visited me often, and now you're in such a hurry to leave?"

Pearl smiled, trying to reassure him. "Godfather, it's like this. Richard and I were stranded there. I jumped into the sea, but I don't know what happened to him." She couldn't bear the uncertainty any longer. All she wanted was to return home and ensure Richard was safe.

Reese sighed reluctantly, understanding her determination. "Alright, I'll arrange everything as quickly as possible. But you'll have to spend some time with me. My disappointing son hardly ever comes home, and you're the only one who keeps me company."

He couldn't hide his irritation when mentioning his son.
