"Why get upset? You started it." Richard just smirked, enjoying her feisty reaction.

"I’ll stop then." Pearl flopped onto the bed. "This bed is incredibly soft."

"Of course, it is." Richard had tested over thirty materials to find the perfect one, ensuring Pearl's utmost comfort.

But he kept that to himself, not wanting to encourage her bold talk; he disliked hearing her naughty words.

"It must be very comfortable to sleep here."
