Winona Wynn and Zachary Shaw novel CHAPTER 115 by Jade Emerson read online

She carefully reviewed the three tweets Jeffrey had posted.

Jeffrey claimed that after he left that day, he was brutally beaten, his leg was broken, and he was thrown out of Empire City. Had Zachary ordered that?

She wasn't the least bit surprised; that was exactly his style.

But Jeffrey also mentioned that he had texted her multiple times.

Winona had never seen any texts from him on her phone back then. A few days after that incident, she accidentally lost her phone. Zachary had gotten her a new SIM card and bought her a new phone.

After switching phones, she naturally wouldn't have received any of Jeffrey's messages.

But just as the netizens pointed out, Jeffrey had come fully prepared this time. He had a mountain of evidence, including screenshots of the exact text messages he had sent her all those years ago.

Now, half the internet was cursing Winona for being a heartless monster. They were also cursing Jeffrey and his wife, calling them despicable animals for swapping the babies just to give their own daughter a life of luxury, and for horribly abusing the real heiress they had stolen.

They were a pair of monsters, and Winona had those monsters' blood running through her veins!

Winona sat quietly in the car as it glided smoothly toward home.

Beside her, Zachary sat with his eyes closed, remaining entirely silent. The only sound was the soft rush of air outside the windows.

The passing streetlights cast shifting shadows across their faces.

As the car stopped at a red light, Winona finally couldn't hold back her question. "When I was fifteen, my biological father came looking for me. Had you already investigated my true identity back then?"

Why else would he have had a nobody like Jeffrey thrown out of the city so violently?

Zachary was ruthless, but he rarely bothered dealing with insignificant nobodies, let alone banishing them from Empire City entirely.

After getting his leg broken, Jeffrey never set foot in the city again. It wasn't that he didn't want to come back; he had run into impenetrable roadblocks.
