Winona Wynn and Zachary Shaw novel CHAPTER 120 by Jade Emerson read online

A faint smile flickered deep in Sienna's eyes, though her face remained a picture of perfect obedience. "Dad, I'll do whatever you think is best."

Quincy looked at her with profound relief.

Only Julian seemed disgruntled, kicking a pebble on the ground.

While he knew the Wynn family couldn't compare to the Shaw family, he despised his father's attitude. He was treating Winona and Sienna like cabbages at a market, waiting for Zachary to take his pick.

Privately, he thought Zachary's personality was insufferable. Whoever married him was in for a lifetime of misery.

Honestly, aside from her horrible temper, Winona at least knew how to make a really good bowl of soup...

He didn't know why, but he felt a strange surge of irritation. The Man Who Can’t Let Go

Meanwhile, Winona pushed Zachary's wheelchair into the elevator.

Stepping out of the elevator revealed a long, straight path flanked by seasonal blooming flowers, with rows of gravestones lining either side.

Right at the elevator exit stood a massive tree, its blossoming branches drooping low enough to touch.

This was the most prestigious cemetery in Empire City, the final resting place of the ultra-wealthy.

As Winona pushed Zachary forward, she saw him casually reach up and pluck a flower from a branch. The motion sent a shower of petals drifting down, landing on both of their shoulders.

She frowned, pausing to brush the petals off her shoulder, only to watch him slide the plucked flower into the bouquet she was holding.

She gave him a bewildered look. "I forgot to buy flowers on the way here," he said.

It sounded like an explanation.

Winona had never been able to read this man. She forced a strained smile. "It's fine. The ones I bought are enough."

He stared straight ahead, his tone turning even colder. "Yeah. Grandmother will definitely be relieved to see us together."

Winona felt like every single syllable he spoke was deliberately engineered to push her over the edge.

Relieved about what?

Relieved that their relationship had violently shattered into pieces?

Zachary's passive-aggression was infuriating.

Her face iced over, and she shoved his wheelchair forward with a violent thrust.
