Claire didn't want to blow things out of proportion just yet. Quincy had always been strict, even harsh, with Winona, resulting in a strained father-daughter relationship.

Quincy had long suspected that Winona wasn't his biological child, keeping her at arm's length.

But out of love for his wife, he buried those misgivings to avoid starting a family war. Still, a subtle undercurrent of hostility was always directed at Winona.

Claire slowly sat back down, her heart pounding. If the Shaw family found out about this...

No, she had to have a serious talk with Winona.

It was approaching six-thirty, the usual time for the Wynn family's dinner.

Tonight, they had invited Zachary and Winona. Zachary was currently on his way.

In the front seat, Logan caught a glimpse of his boss's expression in the rearview mirror. After a moment's hesitation, he asked, "Boss, should I call Mrs. Shaw again?"

Zachary's gaze remained fixed on the documents resting on his lap. He didn't answer.

Taking matters into his own hands, Logan pulled out his phone and dialed Winona's number.

Winona had just finished speaking with the police. Hitting the answer button, she said bluntly, "I'm going to rest. Tell Zach I'll meet him at City Hall tomorrow morning."

The phone was on speaker, allowing Zachary in the backseat to hear every word.

Logan immediately rubbed his nose in embarrassment and hastily ended the call.

Since Winona wasn't coming, Zachary would be attending the dinner alone.
