Cleo had worshipped Sienna since high school, and now she needed to cling to her tighter than ever.
Seeing Sienna get slapped—by Winona, no less—Cleo instantly launched herself forward, grabbed a fistful of Winona's hair, and viciously slammed her head against the wall.
"You bitch! Who gave you the right to hit Sienna!"
It was painfully obvious to anyone watching that Cleo fought like a street thug, proving she was no stranger to bullying girls back in school.
In reality, Cleo thrived on forming cliques and terrorizing people. She relentlessly sucked up to those above her and ruthlessly destroyed anyone below her. But manipulative girls like that usually had great social standing.
Even after her family went bankrupt and she was forced out of Empire City, she had managed to claw her way back as an internet-famous "musical genius" with over eight million followers. It was a sick joke.
Winona was completely outnumbered and outmatched. With her hair yanked back and her head cracked against the wall, blinding pain exploded across her forehead.
Cleo was strong, putting her entire body weight into the assault, intent on inflicting maximum damage.
Winona struggled to protect her freshly scalded hand while fending off the attacks, completely boxed in. Just as the chaos peaked, Natalie King's voice rang out from the hallway.
"What the hell are you doing?!"
At first, Natalie didn't even realize it was Winona getting jumped. But the second she recognized her, her pupils shrank. She grabbed a filthy mop bucket, dunked the mop into the sludgy black water, and swung it wildly at the attackers.
"Get your hands off her, you psychos!"
"Ahhh!"
The girls, dressed in impeccable designer clothes, shrieked as the foul, black water splashed against them, scrambling backward in sheer panic.
Natalie stepped aggressively in front of Winona, shielding her. When she saw the ringleader was Cleo, with Sienna standing right behind her, she scoffed.
Talk about enemies on a narrow road.
Cleo clearly hadn't expected to run into Natalie here either, but a nasty smirk quickly formed. "Well, if it isn't Natalie King. It's been a long time. How have you been? Heard you're desperate to buy a house."
