Sienna acted as if she had just realized what happened and quickly let go of Winona. "Winona, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to! I thought you were raising your hand to hit Cynthia!"

She looked utterly distressed as she glanced over at Cynthia.

Cynthia shot her an approving look.

Winona's cheek instantly began to swell. Fury burned in her chest as she locked eyes with Sienna in a dead, chilling stare.

Sienna acted terrified by the intensity of her glare, slowly backing away. "I really didn't mean to..."

Cynthia immediately stepped in front of Sienna, shielding her. "I'm the one who hit you, and you dare threaten Sienna? Who the hell do you think you are? Haven't you heard? The Wynns are completely severing ties with you!"

Without missing a beat, Winona grabbed the hot coffee off her desk and hurled it directly into Cynthia's face.

Cynthia instinctively squeezed her eyes shut. When she opened them, the front of her expensive blouse was completely ruined, drenched in dark brown stains.

She had worn a pristine, light-colored outfit today, and now she looked like an absolute wreck.

"Winona!"

Enraged, Cynthia raised her hand to strike again, just as the office door swung open. Silas Chandler stood in the doorway.

Though Silas wasn't inner-circle elite, he was still a powerful man in the city. Cynthia being caught acting like a deranged brawler in front of him was incredibly humiliating.

Silas froze for a moment before recognizing her. He quickly offered his handkerchief. "Ms. Shaw, are you alright?"

Cynthia forcefully composed herself, smoothing her expression into something resembling dignity. "I'm fine. I just heard Winona got promoted?"

Silas slipped back into his conflicted, helpless act. "Yes, Sienna asked me about it earlier. The orders came from the top."

He was making it perfectly clear that even if Cynthia threatened him, it wouldn't change a thing. He was just the messenger.
