Meanwhile, the bodyguards had failed to force Winona into their car and hurriedly reported back to Cynthia.

Cynthia was so furious her scalp tingled. "Where is she?!"

"Ma'am, she's already left."

Cynthia's expression turned incredibly sour. She gritted her teeth in pure rage and snapped, "Go find her! I don't care what methods you have to use, make sure she's at City Hall today!"

The guards nodded and quickly drove off in another vehicle.

Cynthia leaned back in her seat, fuming. She didn't forget to call Zachary to check in. "Zach, where are you?"

"Just heading out."

His response was characteristically curt before he added, "What is it?"

"It's Winona. She refused to go to City Hall and took off to who knows where. You go ahead first. I'll have someone drag her there."

In reality, Zachary hadn't moved an inch. He was still sitting in the living room on the first floor, staring at the laptop in front of him. "Got it," he replied flatly.

Cynthia sighed heavily through the receiver. "She actually hit Sienna at the TV station today. Whoever the man backing her is, he's incredibly arrogant. Zach, I want you to look into it. Find out exactly who she's sleeping with that makes her bold enough to cross the Shaw family! Your grandmother found out about that bitch's cheating too, and she was so angry she nearly had a heart attack. You absolutely cannot defend her this time."

Yet, right after she said those words, she frowned. Come to think of it, Zachary hadn't actually spoken up to defend Winona at all.

She took a deep breath, her lips pressing together. "You need to make time to go to the hospital and get yourself completely checked out. I worry she's been sleeping around for a long time. God knows how many men she's been with. What an absolute jinx!"

Zachary simply hung up the phone without offering a single word of explanation.

Cynthia froze, then assumed it was a misclick on his end.

She ordered the driver to head back, her eyes brimming with cold disdain.

Elite families despised nothing more than a woman who brought scandal to their name. Winona had truly crossed the line this time by daring to cuckold a man of the Shaw family.
