This was the first time Claire Wynn had seen Winona so blatantly falsely accuse someone.
It turned out that in the past, she had never actually wronged Winona.
Claire felt disappointed; although the Wynn family was pragmatic, they had never taught her to behave this way.
Winona held Bluebell, no longer rushing to explain herself like she used to.
And so what if she framed her? Hadn't Sienna framed her countless times?
It was merely an eye for an eye.
Besides, this played right into Sienna's hands, giving her another perfect opportunity to play the victim.
Sienna looked up, seemingly resigned to the fact that Winona wouldn't apologize, and offered a bitter smile. "Never mind. As long as your cat is fine. I remember it was a wedding gift from Grandma; it's only natural you'd be so anxious."
This was Sienna's brilliance; with just a few words, she completely pushed Winona into the role of the villain.
It had always been like this. Winona used to rush to defend herself, flushing red with desperation, only for the doubtful gazes to slowly turn into disgust.
Everything she said always sounded incredibly hollow.
Now, she simply nodded, fully embracing the villainous role. "You should be glad my cat is unharmed."
With that, she carried Bluebell upstairs.
Sienna froze, then quietly wiped her tears.
Claire was at a loss for words. She pulled a tissue to dab at Sienna's tears. "Sisi, Winona was probably just too frantic."
Sienna took the tissue, forcing a smile. "Mom, I know. You don't have to make excuses for Winona."
As she spoke, she glanced at Zachary, seemingly hoping he would say something in her defense.
But Zachary sat in silence. Aside from his earlier sharp reprimand toward Winona, he didn't utter another word.
Sienna felt a pang of frustration; even now, she couldn't figure out what Zachary was thinking.
It didn't seem like he cared about Winona.
But it didn't seem like he was completely indifferent, either.
The man's mind was an absolute enigma.
She bit her lip, walking over to grasp his hand. "Zach, I'll walk Mom out first. Can I come back and keep you company tonight?"
Zachary casually withdrew his hand, offering a dismissive grunt of agreement.
Sienna sighed. Perhaps he was just in a bad mood because of his legs.
A once-proud man now confined to a wheelchair—no matter how calm he appeared, it was impossible for him to be truly unaffected.
The two women soon disappeared from the hall.
When Sienna had arrived earlier, she had already heard that Winona was found, which had infuriated her. Clearly, Wesley's plan had failed.
But her mood had improved significantly now. Whether it was what Winona had said or done, the woman had deliberately severed her ties with Claire. It would be absolutely impossible for Winona to ever return to the Wynn family.
