Winona Wynn and Zachary Shaw novel CHAPTER 78 by Jade Emerson read online

Besides, he had gone viral online a few years ago. Even though he had entirely avoided the public eye since then, his dedicated fanbase was still massive.

Holly quickly added, "Everyone else in the department is dying for this chance, but Mr. Chandler specifically pointed to you."

For a journalist, this was a golden ticket—but it came with terrifying risks. If you offended Zachary Shaw during the interview, your entire career could vanish overnight.

Winona let out a dry laugh as Holly continued, "Mr. Chandler had a morning meeting and sent this file straight to our department. The others didn't even want to come over and give it to you..."

Winona instantly understood. The rest of the department was holding their breath, waiting for her to voluntarily back out.

Remembering how these same people had firmly stood by Wesley and Grace, a smirk touched her lips. "Alright. I'll go see Mr. Chandler."

Relieved, Holly scurried off.

Winona glanced back down at the stack of documents. It was mostly financial coverage on Zachary. Honestly, she knew far more than these files could ever tell her, even if she hadn't paid much attention to his business dealings for the last three years.

She skimmed through the pages and instinctively reached for the iced latte on her desk. Supposedly, someone had treated the whole department to coffee during lunch, and since she wasn't around, they left hers by her monitor.

But something made her pause. She dropped her hand, stood up, and headed straight to Silas Chandler's office.

When she knocked and walked in, Silas was rubbing his temples. The network had been in a state of absolute chaos recently.

The interview department had just lost two key people, and they hadn't found suitable replacements yet.

More importantly, every higher-up was aggressively trying to plant their own loyalists in the vacant spots.

Silas was no exception, but he currently lacked reliable people in his corner.

When his eyes landed on Winona's face, a flicker of genuine surprise crossed his features.

He had previously cut ties with Grace and written off Winona entirely, but seeing her striking beauty up close hit differently.

No wonder she was a parachute hire. He had no idea who was truly backing her, but it was painfully obvious she was connected to someone much higher up than a mere Deputy Director.

If he made a move against her, he had no idea which executive he might offend.

Suppressing his underlying calculations, Silas kept his tone strictly professional. "Make sure this interview is flawless. You're well aware of the mess you've caused lately. Your department is currently headless, and Shaw Group happens to be answering our requests right now. I have no choice but to assign this to you. I won't bore you with the rules—just cater entirely to whatever Shaw Group demands. Make sure you run every single question by them. You have a preliminary meeting scheduled at 1:00 PM today. Head over there and test the waters."

Winona nodded. Returning to her department, she briefly organized her notes before Holly asked, "Are you going to drink your iced latte? If not, I can help you out."

Winona was in a rush and had to catch a cab to the Shaw Group headquarters. "It's yours. I'm cutting back on sugar anyway."
