Winona Wynn and Zachary Shaw novel CHAPTER 83 by Jade Emerson read online

Interrupted by Sienna, she looked up.

Sienna was dressed exquisitely, down to the very last strand of hair.

In contrast, Winona wore no makeup, her hair pulled into a simple low ponytail, dressed in jeans and a button-down shirt, looking exceptionally refreshing.

Winona instantly smiled, resting her face in her hand. "If I were you, I'd stay far away. After all, it must be agonizing to spend hours getting dressed up, only to be effortlessly outshined by someone with a bare face."

She said this with absolute confidence in her own appearance.

Leaning there, her radiant complexion made her look like a blooming peony without a drop of makeup.

Sienna's fake smile faltered, her face twisting in anger. "I want to see how long you can keep up this act!"

Winona waved her phone. "Wesley went through hell and high water for you, and now he hasn't even been sentenced yet. Aren't you going to the police station to see him? He's a petty guy. When he gets out, he might not fawn over you like he used to."

Sienna specifically glanced around to make sure no one was there before speaking softly. "Today is your and Zachary's wedding anniversary, isn't it? What a pity. He and I were in the office today..."

Her cheeks flushed as she slowly stepped closer. "You were sleeping in the lounge at the time. Winona, you probably don't know this, but shortly after you two got married, you got drunk in a private room once, and Zachary and I did the same thing. Having you around makes it feel exceptionally thrilling for me."

Winona suddenly remembered that she had indeed gotten blackout drunk once during her marriage. She had been furious after seeing Zachary give Sienna a pendant, and in her drunken state, she had slapped Sienna.

That dinner had ended disastrously. Everyone had left, leaving only a drunk Winona, a terrifyingly cold Zachary, and a sobbing Sienna.

Unable to hold on, she had completely passed out.

But these things could no longer provoke her.

As Sienna spoke, she observed Winona's expression, then curved her lips. "Oh, right, there's something very important I haven't told you. The Emerald Bracelet your grandmother left you... Zachary gave it to me."

With that, she shook her wrist, showing off the vibrant green jade bracelet.

Winona had grown up in The Wynn Family. When she married Zachary, she took nothing with her except that bracelet.

Perhaps because she had always sensed Quincy's attitude toward her, she never wanted to spend their money, thinking that maybe then her father would care about her a little more. Despite growing up wealthy, she never had any major expenses. She attended public schools and took the standard college entrance exams like everyone else, getting into Capital University on her own merit.
