Winona Wynn and Zachary Shaw novel CHAPTER 84 by Jade Emerson read online

Her cheek stung slightly. She hadn't been able to dodge Cynthia's slap because she had been distracted, wondering if this was indeed the bracelet from their home. After all, you had to look closely at emeralds to be sure.

But hearing Zachary say that, she knew it was the exact one.

Zachary had given her grandmother's relic to Sienna.

Even though it wasn't the first time he had done something like this, Winona still felt a wave of suffocating despair and fury burning her chest.

She tried to steady her emotions. "What right do you have to give my things away?"

"Winona, can't someone else have what you don't want?"

"When did I ever say I didn't want it?"

"Leaving Empire City meant you didn't want any of it."

If it weren't for the current setting, Winona would have thought Zachary was just making an issue out of nothing, accusing her of being heartless and blaming her for leaving so decisively three years ago.

Given his personality, he would never do that.

Winona thought her time abroad had trained her to remain calm, but right now, she was trembling with rage.

Cynthia seized the moment to attack. "Get the hell out! The Shaw Family doesn't welcome you. All you need to do now is wait quietly for your divorce papers! Someone with your filthy, low-class blood doesn't deserve to step foot on our property."

A few bodyguards immediately stepped forward, ready to drag Winona away.

But Winona beat them to it, getting into the nearby car where Logan was still sitting.

She pulled Logan out, slid into the driver's seat herself, slammed the gas pedal to the floor, and sped off.

Left in a cloud of exhaust, Logan stood there dumbfounded.

Winona had left too quickly, completely cutting off Cynthia, who had wanted to continue her tirade.

Gritting her teeth, Cynthia hurried over to Sienna. "Are you alright? I'll have someone get you some soothing spray for the swelling."

Still looking shaken, Sienna shook her head, her face a picture of grievance. "Mom, I'm fine."
