Your Guise Is Slipping, Miss Pearl romance Capítulo 1430

"I'm asking you a serious question. What do you mean, 'Am I done?'" Holly said, her frustration clear as she confronted Esther's impatient demeanor.

"Shouldn't you worry about yourself, Holly? Are you not thinking clearly? I already told you I need to change. Didn't you get that?" Esther snapped back, not bothering to soften her words.

Esther then turned to the few bystanders who had gathered, drawn by the escalating argument. Their smiles faded as Esther glared at them.

"What are you all doing standing around here? Don't you have jobs to go to? If you've got so much free time, find some work to do. What are you doing here? Do you not use your brains?" Although Esther was known for her quick temper, she had never before lashed out with such pointed anger.

One of the onlookers stepped forward in an attempt to calm the situation. "Please don't be mad, Este. They're not very sharp, so just let it slide this time."

Esther gave her a chilling look, and the woman fell silent.

Meanwhile, Holly, who had been confident at the start, felt her courage waning and she stepped back.

As Esther's anger seemed to subside, she walked past Holly, intentionally bumping into her with force. Holly's face contorted with the pain, but she held back any retort, fearing further conflict.
