Winona Wynn and Zachary Shaw novel CHAPTER 50 by Jade Emerson read online

Zachary's fever had likely already been reported straight to Sienna's ears.

"Mrs. Shaw, should I still give him the water?"

"No need. Wait for Sienna to come and feed it to him mouth-to-mouth. I'm sure that's exactly what he wants anyway."

Winona walked straight back to her own room.

The maid stood stranded in the hallway before hesitantly tiptoeing back into the master bedroom.

She peeked at Zachary, who was leaning quietly against the headboard. The collar of his shirt was damp, and a single drop of water clung to his thin lips.

Too frightened to look any closer, the maid hastily placed the glass on the nightstand and scurried out.

Though she had worked there for years, the boss was always overwhelmingly busy. He rarely spoke to the staff, and they were only expected to follow Logan's instructions and keep their heads down.

Everyone knew the marriage between the boss and Mrs. Shaw was falling apart, but nobody dared ask questions.

Stepping out of the bedroom, she let out a long sigh of relief and gently clicked the door shut.

Even though the boss was strictly business and rarely smiled, the way he looked just now reminded her of some seductive model she had seen on TV.

But if she ever voiced that thought out loud, she would be fired instantly.

She hurried downstairs to resume her daily chores.

Twenty minutes later, Sienna arrived right on cue.

She practically breezed through the door like she owned the place, her tone laced with frantic concern. "Is Zachary upstairs?"
